Project CALM (Count And Learn Mathematics): Effects of Computer-Aided Instruction on Basic Counting Skills of Non- Graded Learners with Special Education Needs (LSENs)

This study aimed to determine the effect of Project CALM (Count And Learn Mathematics) in using computer-aided instruction improving basic counting skills 15 non-graded Learners with Special Education Needs (LSENs) Guronasyon Foundation Incorporated National High School during school year 2022–2023 who are selected through purposive sampling. Parameters were based on pretest and posttest. The researchers used experimental descriptive design thus, applying different statistical treatment such as mean, standard deviation dependent t- test. Findings depicted that overall mean results for posttest 3.17 8.10 Fairy Satisfactory Very verbal interpretations. In addition, t-test revealed level performance respondents after exposure thru utilization computer- aided differ significantly since p-value is less than 0.05. With results, null hypothesis rejected interpretation significant. To conclude, data proved there an improvement LSENs shown their before gathered. diligence under this project, it claimed strategy effective considering higher score pretest. Summing up, able enhance broaden result strategies offered by teachers teacher-volunteers instruction. could possibly be tailor-made engaging activities provided among throughout course project. However, continuous effort discovery new relevant learning techniques should done ensure further enhancement counting.
